Situated in Cadaujac, 200 meters far from Château Bouscaut, Château Lamothe-Bouscautis an old wine estate owned by Sophie Lurton and Laurent Cogombles.
The house dates back to the XIIth Century. Part of the actual vineyard was on the Belleymmap (XVIIIth Century). Lamothe Bouscaut wines are very famous in the XIXth Century. In 1969, the vines are loaned to Château Bouscaut that finally acquired the estate in 1999.Thesoil is composed of deep gravel. 8 ha of red vines (60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot), 1 ha of white vines (70% sauvignon blanc and 30% sémillon)
Château Valoux is an old wine estate in the des Graves region, it is included in the PessacLéognan wine area. Château Valoux, located between the villages of Cadaujac and Martillac, is the closest neighbour to Bouscaut. And since 1929, both estates have had the same owners: Sophie Lurton and her husband Laurent Cogombles. Château Valoux, which is some ten hectares in a piece, has a very similar terroir to that of Bouscaut (predominance of clay and gravel on a limestone base) . The estate has been hosting magnificent sémillon, still producing after more than 150 years. It enjoys the same care and attention as Château Bouscaut.
